Nexsan ATABoy2x Features and Benefits:The Nexsan ATAboy2X represents the sixth generation of high speed, high capacity ATA storage subsystems from Nexsan Technologies. In 3U of rack space the ATAboy2X holds a maximum of 14 drives and offers unparalleled performance of ATA disk RAID subsystems. Configuration of the ATAboy2x is conducted by NexScan, Nexsan’s unique configuration tool. NexScan allows the ATAboy2x to be configured by either the built in web server or via the on board RS232 serial port. Both methods are not hardware, software or java runtime specific. The web interfaces uses standard HTML and is compatible with all mainstream browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla etc). All main components of the ATAboy2x are pluggable; these include PSUs (Power Supply Units), RAID controller/s and disks. Due to the ATAboy2x’s huge data capacity, low cost and amazing performance it is ideal for many application such as disks to disk backup, video and audio archiving, near-line storage and secondary storage. High performance EnterpriseATA™ RAID built around the latest high-capacity disk drives. All mission critical components, including RAID controllers, are hot swappable and completely redundant. NexScan™, our platform independent Web enabled GUI, provides simple system configuration, event and component monitoring from any standard web browser.
