Nexsan ATABoy2 Features and Benefits: The ATAboy2 is the fourth generation of SCSI to ATA RAID products developed by Nexsan Technologies. With Nexsan’s new high density drive packing technology the ATAboy2 ships with 14 disk drives in only 3U. Unlike conventional RAID products the ATAboy2 uses ATA disk drives to store RAID data rather than high cost SCSI or Fibre Channel disks, Nexsan offer the same security of a standard RAID subsystem but at a greatly reduced cost. The unit has dual power supplies, dual high-speed radial blowers and fourteen pluggable disk drives. Conguration of ATAboy is controlled NexScan and is accessed via the 10/100Base-T port on the RAID controller or via the serial port. Continual event monitoring with active user notification.
