 Giới thiệu chung
Seagate NAS 2-Bay là dòng thiết bị thay thế cho Seagate Business Storage 2-Bay đã được giới thiệu trước đây. Cùng với phần cứng mạnh hơn, hệ điều hành mới bổ sung thêm tính năng cho phép khách hàng tự cài đặt ứng dụng từ bên thứ ba để bổ sung thêm các tính năng chuyên dụng cần thiết. Tuy nhiên, các tiện ích tích hợp sẵn hầu đã bao gồm như mọi thứ mà doanh nghiệp cần:
- Lưu trữ và chia sẻ thông tin làm việc một cách tập trung, bảo mật, dễ dàng triển khai, quản lý.
- Khả năng sao lưu dự phòng và phục hồi dữ liệu: NAS to/from external USB drive, NAS-to-NAS backup, NAS to/from Rysnc server, local or remote, Back up and restore via CIFS/NFS/HTTP/FTP, Back up to Amazon, Box...
- Đồng thời có khả năng cung cấp & quản lý không gian lưu trữ cho các máy chủ khác trong hệ thống với tính năng iSCSI target. Với tính năng này, Seagate Business Storage NAS có thể được dùng như thiết bị lưu trữ trong các hệ thống SAN đã có hoặc tạo môi trường IP SAN để tận dụng các tính năng cao cấp cung cấp bởi hệ thống SAN như cấp phát, thu hồi, quản lý không gian lưu trữ cho các server khác trong mạng, các hệ thống D2D (Disk To Disk) backup, không gian lưu trữ cho các hệ thống MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS Sharepoint, Oracle...
- Hệ thống phòng chống virus hoạt động tự động và có khả năng tự cập nhật mỗi ngày.
- Tiện ích Sdrive và MyNAS cho phép truy cập các file cần dùng mọi lúc và ở mọi nơi thông qua kết nối internet trên PC, Mac, Smartphone.
- Tiện ích Surveillance Manager quản lý hệ thống IP camera
- Đối với các hệ thống giải trí tại gia, Seagate Business Storage NAS đóng vai trò quan trong việc phân phối nội dung số như âm nhạc, phim ảnh... (media server)
